Programming SpectraLink Wireless Telephones

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

• the IP user licenses are entered in the License and Option Selection form.

• Class of Service Options ( ), Interconnect Restriction ( ), and Intercept Handling ( ) are programmed for each device.

Programming

To program the SpectraLink Wireless Telephones on the MiVoice Business system:

1. Wireless IP Sets form

Enter the following information:

• Device Type: Select "SpectraLink NetLink"

• Directory Number (DN): Enter a directory number for this phone

• ACD Set: Set to Yes if ACD set

• Interconnect Number: Enter the Interconnect Number

• Tenant: Enter the set's tenant number.

2. (Optional) Multiline Set Keys form

3. Assign a directory number (line appearance) or feature to each line select key.

4. Assign a ring type for each line appearance.

3. (Optional) Default Account Codes form

4. Create a default account code number that will appear in all SMDR records for the phone.

4. Station Attributes form

5. Assign a Class of Service, Class of Restriction, and Intercept Number to the DN of the phone.

6. (Optional) Assign a Default Account Code Index number.

5. User and Services Configuration form

6. Use the User and Services Configuration search field to locate the directory number that you assigned to the device. Assign a name, department, and location to the directory number.
